Thomas T. Kawakami is a third generation Japanese American who was born and raised in Southern California. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was an auditor with Laventhol & Horwath. After becoming an attorney, he was an associate at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in the Tax Department and a partner at Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLP in the Business & Tax Dept. and Trust & Estate Dept. before founding Lamb & Kawakami LLP in 2002.
Mr. Kawakami represents numerous individuals (modest and high net worth) and their privately held businesses (sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations) in their general legal needs, with an emphasis on income and transfer tax planning.
